PETITION: Call for Service Delivery and Development in Ward 76, Hammanskraal

We, the undersigned residents of Mashemong including Section 5, Majaneng including Section 3, Parktown Majaneng, Thabazimbi Section, and Selosesha Section, and Lephengville in Ward 76, Hammanskraal, hereby call upon our local and municipal leadership to urgently address the lack of service delivery and development in our communities.

For many years, our areas have been overlooked while other parts of Tshwane continue to develop. Residents continue to live without dignity, proper services, or community facilities, and we can no longer remain silent.

We therefore demand action on the following urgent issues:

1. Issuing of Title Deeds – Many residents in our community have lived here for years without receiving title deeds. Legal ownership of our homes must be granted.
2. Housing Development (RDP Houses) – Many families live without proper housing. Fair allocation and development of RDP houses for all qualifying residents must be prioritized.
3. Basic Service Delivery – Our communities still lack reliable access to proper flushing toilets, clean water, waste removal, and maintained roads.
4. Storm Water Drainage – During rainy seasons, streets and homes flood because there is no proper storm water drainage system. This damages property, creates health risks, and makes roads unsafe.
5. Community Infrastructure – Mashemong, Majaneng, and Lephengville have no library, no community hall, and no public park for children and families. These facilities are essential for education, recreation, and social unity.
6. Transparency and Accountability – We call for an urgent public meeting where the City of Tshwane and Ward 76 leadership can update residents on development plans, budgets, and timelines for service delivery in our areas.

We are not asking for luxury.

We are asking for dignity, fairness, and development — the basic rights of every South African citizen.

We, the residents of Mashemong including Section 5, Majaneng including Section 3, Parktown Majaneng, Thabazimbi Section, and Selosesha Section, and Lephengville, stand united in this call for change.

We deserve to be seen. We deserve to be heard. We deserve better. ✊🏽
