Allow Filming of the Year 6 Leavers’ Service

We, the undersigned parents, carers, family members and supporters of the Year 6 pupils at Chuter Ede Fernwood respectfully request that the school allows the Leavers’ Service to be filmed.

The Leavers’ Service marks the end of an important chapter in our children’s lives. It is a once-in-a-lifetime occasion celebrating their achievements, friendships and journey through primary school before they move on to secondary education.

Many families would value the opportunity to keep a recording of this special event and to share it with relatives who may be unable to attend, including grandparents, family members living abroad and loved ones who are unwell.

We fully understand the school’s responsibilities regarding safeguarding, privacy and data protection. We believe these concerns can be addressed through appropriate consent procedures and controlled distribution of any recording.

We are therefore asking the school to reconsider its decision and work with parents to find a suitable solution that allows this important milestone to be preserved while maintaining safeguarding standards.
