Ban the Ban

This petition is to Ban the Ban against ALL marijuana sales in the city of Clarkston, Washington. Please Washington voters only. 

After marijuana was legalized in Washington state, our mayor and city council voted to ban all marijuana sales in Clarkston and closed down not one but two businesses after giving them business licenses and permits. Then they proceeded to sue the owners for opening their doors and will profit from the sale of permits, licenses and lawsuit. Meanwhile the business owners lose profit and employees are out of work.

Washington state has made a huge profit from the sales of marijuana and our city could use some of that profit for schools, roads, the aquatic center and several new family programs.

Our city council says it is not safe for a store in the city where kids have access, yet they allow vapor shops and bars on that same block. The stores do not allow patrons under the age of 21 to enter or purchase and are highly regulated and scan identification cards and drivers licenses. 

If you live in Washington state, preferably a Clarkston registered voter, but not required please sign this petition so it can be submitted to the city of Clarkston in 30 days for the August city council meeting. Thank you for your time and effort and for making votes matter!! Ban the Ban!!!
