Forge

The Forge has been providing refreshments for visitors to the town of Whitstable for the last couple of years. During that time it has emerged as a busy and successful facility for tourists and local people and a popular tourist destination. Under a condition imposed by the planning permission, opening times have been restricted to the summer months between 10.00am and 8.00pm. There are strong indictions of demand for The Forge to be open during the winter months, and for longer hours in the summer.

We propose the opening hours should be extended to run from 8.00am until 10.00pm from 1st April until 30th June inclusive and from 1st september to 30th October inclusive, with high summer season opening from 8.00am until 11.00pm 1st July until 31st August inclusive and winter opening hours from 8.00am to 6.30pm from 1st November until 31st March inclusive.

 

Planning to extend our openning hours have been refused with only three objections from local residents. We will not have to close if we do not receive your support. We can then re-apply.
