I lived in the island for 9 yrs, the bridge is extremely dangerous for both motorists and pedestrians , something needs to be done before more people are killed

Yeah, a tunnel, cos cars dont brake down in tunnels and driver pay more attention.

Knock it down.
This bridge is soooo dangerous. Knock it down as use it to fill the Swale. Then flatten all the hills that we cant see over. Then staighten all the roads that have bends in, them Romans knew a thing or two. Then Ban all cars, trucks and vans from the roads. And ban guns. And fast food. And cigarettes. And bad grammer.

I have driven over this bridge many times and never felt unsafe, the only things that scare me are drivers going too fast and too close to the car in front and talking or texting on their mobiles while driving. Speed limits/cameras might help but only if drivers stick to the limits

As we live on the mainland opposite Sheppey and we have family on the island, we all travel from one to the other frequently. After the 100 vehicle pile up last winter and now more accidents and deaths, it is time something was done to make the crossing safer.

I Think The Speeding Limit for The Bridge Needs to Be Lowered for Sure.. Thats a Must. I Used To Live On The Island and Dreaded Going Over That Bridge Everytime i Had to. Its Terrible That 2 Lives Were Lost Yesterday (01/07/2014) But The Way Its Going I Personally Do Not Think It'll Be The Last Lives Lost Through Dangerous Driving. Ive Already Had to Attend 2 of My 18 Year Old Friends Funerals Due To Careless Driving/Concentration Not Being There or Other Drivers
