Pat Partington is one of my favourite lecturers! I always remember so much from his presentations!
Guest#2 May 06, 2015, 20:05
I want Pat to continue teaching at AECC!
Guest#3 May 06, 2015, 20:28

Think of all the people who need pre-OSLER Pat hypno!

Anonymous#4 May 06, 2015, 20:43

Pat needs to stay!

Wtf is the AECC doing? Got money for an MRI but not for Pat? Ridiculous! He has been of great value to the MChiro program!

Guest#5 May 06, 2015, 20:44

One of the very few good things about the AECC #MChironotworththepaperitswrittenon

Guest#6 May 06, 2015, 20:53

important!

I still you the things Pat taught me!! So so so.important!!!  Far more so than some of the other subjects..  I will name them if you ask me!

Guest#7 May 06, 2015, 21:36

He teaches one of the most important aspects on the course. It dosen't matter how good you are at adjusting, if you cant communicate well with the patient then you wont do well

Guest#8 May 06, 2015, 21:45
Psychosocial is a fundamental module if we want to be holistic practitioners, it can help you better help your patients and decide what to do and what not to.
Of course not so relevant if you just want to push bones.
Guest#9 May 06, 2015, 21:48

This is a core element to the course! Pat is not only an awesome lecturer but is irreplaceable when it comes to the help he gives students when they need it! Aecc need to remember what this course is actually built on!

I cannot in the slightest comprehend the thought process of the AECC in which they have decided to dismiss Pat Partington. Maybe if I hit my head off the wall a few times, and made money the only thing that mattered in my life, then, maybe then, I'd understand, but I doubt it.

Pat is an incredible asset to the AECC and why his position has become redundant is beyond belief. A fantastic lecturer and kind man. He will be greatly missed
Guest#12 May 06, 2015, 22:06

It's simple really: Pat Partington... What's not to love?

#SavePatman#13 May 06, 2015, 22:07

This sounds too redicilous to be true. Pat Partington is among the best and most influential lecturers in one of the most important subjects in the chiropractic program at the AECC. Removing Dr. Partington will be the equivalent of removing Psycho-social from the bio-psycho-social health care model on which we base our treatment. A pure biological health model is NOT what chiropractic is about.

AECC where's the money going? !MUST READ!

I suggest all AECC students, after signing this petition, ask the AECC where the money is going. Will your education benefit from an MRI scanner? Unlikely. Are student fees and clinic cash being injected back into education or merely lining pockets?

The AECC has lost its way and is at serious risk of losing its place as one of the world renowned educational establishments.

We the students are the reason this establishment is where it is and why it continues to function-shouldn't we, the majority have a say in how our money is spent, how our education is shaped and what OUR future entails rather than a group of self selected fat cats.

Write, email, ask the question-AECC where is the money going?! You have a right to know. This impacts our future.

Pat > MRI

Put that MRI into eBay. The students never wanted an MRI anyways.

Guest#17 May 07, 2015, 05:20

ridiculous!! Let Pat stay!

This is ridiculous!! Patient handling is one of the most important skill to have in clinic! And Pat is one of the far best teachers I've had at AECC!! Using money on the an expensive MRI (which no student will really benefit from anyways) but giving up such a great teacher - unbelievable!!

Disgusting behaviour

...worth more than "they" will ever know.

I have to write an essay on the biopsychosocial model as part of my conditional pass for GCC registration. This stuff is important and if international grads have to know about it then so should UK grads!
Guest#20 May 07, 2015, 07:49
Has anyone asked the AECC why Pat is being made redundant?
Guest#21 May 07, 2015, 08:17

Re:

 financial problems, apparently...^^

Guest#22 May 07, 2015, 08:44
In 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) proposed that health is “a complete state of physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease”.

We as students can learn anatomy from textbooks, however psychology skills can not be learnt from a textbook.

The AECC recruits foreign students annually, and for them its a great tool to learn and practise how to communicate with patients in their second language so patients get the best possible care from the clinic.

Pat is a TRUE assest to the University- not only does he deliver heart felt lectures but he also help a lot of students with their own problems they are faced with.

This makes me sad :o(

Pat is one of the best, most engaging lecturers at AECC and the content of what he teaches is invaluable!! Anyone that's been in practice more than 5 minutes knows the importance of what we learn from him - this will be a big blow to the profession. Sad times.

Guest#24 May 07, 2015, 10:35
Absolutely vital for everyday practice and finding the true cause of a patient's complaint.
