You're right.  They think we only have desk top computers in the living room which take more effort to use than a laptop, tablet or smart phone.  Or that we don't have internet access at home so have to find a library or cyber cafe.  They are living in the past circa 2004.

Because it is stupid to use that as an excuse fur not awarding pip
Guest#53 Oct 26, 2015, 12:55
Face book helps people to keep intouch with others who are suffering the same.
Guest#54 Oct 26, 2015, 13:01
I am in the process of applying for PIP from my DLA, should I close my Facebook, my only social contact as I don't go out, this is a disgusting reason to refuse a very needed allowance.
Guest#55 Oct 26, 2015, 13:45
Because a close relative gets PIP and I don't want to see it eroded
Guest#56 Oct 26, 2015, 14:18
This is ridiculous. I suffer from social phobia & seldom go out, certainly not to socialise. Without FaceBook I would never communicate with anybody!
Guest#57 Oct 26, 2015, 14:40
Once again this is an attack on someone's human rights
Guest#58 Oct 26, 2015, 14:54
They did the same to me last year. I am really fed up with the way they treat us all, saying our physical pain and emotional pain is nothing. They just sit there and laugh at us. It is just a game for them, playing with people's life's and as we all know, some of these life's have ended. They are brutal. Inhumane.

Face book is a lifeline for those of us stuck indoors through no fault of our own.
Guest#60 Oct 26, 2015, 15:41
absolutely appalling !!
Guest#61 Oct 26, 2015, 16:38
Facebook is my only source of chatting to friends and reading stories!
I'm isolated enough without having this taken away, which is what I would do if this became an issue with DWP!
Guest#62 Oct 26, 2015, 17:15
Facebook is quite often the only method of social contact available to those of us with severe health problems and to deny it's use on bane of having benefits taken away is a denial of freedom of specs and a denial of very basic human rights.
Guest#63 Oct 26, 2015, 17:57
Disgraceful way to treat anyone
Guest#64 Oct 26, 2015, 18:02
When I applied for ESA I went to my interview with makeup on. I usually wear make up even if I'm feeling dreadful as its my mask to the world. The report came back & I was refused? It said that I wore make up and couldn't be that bad. For god sake I've lost most things in my life but just to make myself feel a little better and I was judged for that????
Guest#65 Oct 26, 2015, 18:03
They are making excuses not to give.
Guest#66 Oct 26, 2015, 18:06
Demonisation and victimisation of the mentally ill, the sick, the disabled is endemic and we have to find a unified voice to end it. Social media is for many the only way possible.
Guest#67 Oct 26, 2015, 18:47
Seems to me the government are using any excuse to stop people getting any type of benefit...and using Facebook as a reason is rather childish and unbelievable..
Guest#68 Oct 26, 2015, 19:20
Facebook is a support network for me .

I have been disabled for a long time. I missed out on doing things with my children. I'm not asking for sympathy. If i could work i would. This isn't about getting us into work its about cutting the money we recieve. If they stop my money i will be unable to go out thus making life unbearable.
Guest#71 Oct 27, 2015, 11:01
Because it's bloody ridiculous!!!
Guest#72 Oct 27, 2015, 12:55
Facebook is so useful for those of us with disabilities and illness, to stay in contact with friends we can no longer go out and socialise with, or to find support and help from people with similar problems, and to just cheer us up when home alone and feeling ill and useless...
Guest#73 Oct 27, 2015, 13:50
