#1262016-04-26 10:37Don't build this PRISON I am sure they can find ground elsewhere . House prices. the image on entering Inverness will tarnish its appeal common sence required. |

#1272016-04-26 12:29No information has been made available to the public or concerned parties by the Prison Services Agent or the Highland Council regarding the other 11 locations deemed as potential prison locations in 2009. The Local Development Plan finalised in 2015 after extensive consultation makes no reference to a prison being considered for this location. The land is scheduled for Business Development or Locally Designated Green Belt. |

#1282016-04-26 12:39I do not want a prison built at the Gateway to the Highlands. As they approach Inverness on the A9, visitors will see a large Road Sign indicating HM PRISON, Milton of Leys. What kind of welcome is that to the Highlands. |

#1292016-04-26 19:13A horrible idea for Inverness as a city. A prison should not be the first thing people see when arriving from the south. As well as other concerns regarding it being in a quiet residential area and close to a school it would be ridiculous if this ever got approved. |

#1302016-04-29 18:55I do not live near the site, but it is obvious that this is a total waste of a site that, if it doesn't remain as farmland as it really should, it should be used for something useful and productive, ideally tourist related. The new prison would be ideally located on the site earmarked for a new court on the demolished bakery. The new court should be built instead on the site of the old college. Problem solved. |

#1312016-05-01 11:49A prison in this location will give a poor impression for those entering Inverness via the A9 from the south, and is not in keeping with the development plan for an up and coming city that is keen to attract investors and tourists. |

#1332016-05-05 10:25Why not move it back to the Castle, the prison was located there until 1902. |

#1352016-05-15 11:14This is a ridiculous proposal. There is no infrastructure in place to support this - no regular bus services, no where close by to stay at a reasonable cost, no shops, no easy access to the city. Also this will not encourage visitors if the first thing they see of Inverness is an ugly prison with security fencing - not very welcoming! Come to Inverness and see a prison. Very nice of you to give them an easy escape route if they got out. What on earth have you got against Milton of Leys. First you take away the Green belt status then you build that unwanted housing expo, then tried for a lorry service park now this. |

#1382016-06-06 20:42I do not want a prison 200 metres from our community which has 600 children and young people! |

#1392016-06-28 07:28This area is full of families. Too many children. It has Inverness largest primary a short walk away. House prices will devalue & houses will be more difficult to sell if a prison is situated here, this makes it unfair on house owners, times are hard as it is. Build somewhere with limited houses around or even close to city centre so that families can visit the prisoners more easily! Please don't build here. Very concerned resident! |
