The British Government have been evil bastards in the past
Guest#203 Mar 15, 2014, 22:32
I am of strong Irish descent, and have always felt the famine was more genocide than famine.
Guest#204 Mar 15, 2014, 22:33
'Tis not right that this should ever have happened, especially to my own people and blood. My family came to America to escape the "Famine".
Guest#205 Mar 16, 2014, 22:50
My ancestors were some of the Irish people who were effected by this act of Genocide. It should not be swept under the Carpet and forgotten about any longer

There are not many places that the Brits didn't Invade and dominate back then.

This petition should have been done years ago, too long in coming, hope we get a signature for everyone who died in this genocide, worldwide cover please
Guest#213 Mar 19, 2014, 10:27
It is time for the truth to be told. The Irish withstood a Holocaust, not a famine.
Guest#214 Mar 19, 2014, 10:37
Famine means no food, there was plenty of food during the Great Hunger but it was denied to the people of this land. This truth must be told so history cannot repeat itself.

The British governments of past and present should be ashamed of what happened in Ireland in the years of 1845-1850 "FAMINE". they should at the very least apologise for what they put the Irish people through.
Guest#217 Mar 19, 2014, 19:01

Guest#218 Mar 20, 2014, 06:28

Guest#219 Mar 20, 2014, 09:32
It wasn't "famine" it was a deliberate attempt to wipe the Irish people of the face of the earth
Guest#220 Mar 20, 2014, 13:39
Revenge for Skibereen. Díoltas le haghaidh Sciobairín.

Foreign aid was blocked. This was no different from the Shoa, except nobody fought for those poor would.
Guest#222 Mar 21, 2014, 14:12
This will gain lots more momentum, whilst it cones from the correct angle.
Guest#223 Mar 21, 2014, 15:25
The truth needs to be told. I was born in County Wexford and no doubt some of my ancestors suffered during that time.
Guest#224 Mar 21, 2014, 18:42
