If no one stands up to this chipping away at civil liberties soon we will all be paying to walk in the park , the same way we pay congestion charges to drive our cars

Parks are public places for relaxing, exercising and other leisure. Why stop at licenses for personal trainers? We could also require licenses for dog walker etc. This is a dangerous precedent to set. Freedom for all!!!

they do have a licence for dog walkers but what can come next is licence for runing club who use park,a licence for the baby sitter who come and use park for the kids ,a  licences for business man who use laptop in park to conduct trade  stocks .that just a few that i can think about

The licence is absolutely disgusting!! I would be questioning this 32million that seems to be thrown around as an excuse. Have them present the paperwork that justifies the amount. The Queen should be ashamed of herself. We pay our taxes and still its not enough!

I live 5 minutes from Richmond Park. Work as a self employed personal trainer and see only a handful of clients privately outdoors. How ridiculous that I cannot train my clients on a 1-2-1 basis in the outdoor space on our doorstep without paying out over £600...I feel really angry and saddened by this..

I've been asked by a group of moms to train them in our local park. But the lisence fee is bigger than the income this class will bring. What shall we do then? I woudn't mind to pay if the fee was reasonable, but they are not for the small busnesses.

It's complelty unfair on the British public that they can not do structured exercise in an outdoor beautiful park surrounding. We have an obesity epidemic people should be encouraged to partake in fitness and not have to be charged the earth because of these licensing fees. Professional trainers are losing business, it's a no win situation this introduction.
