I think the use of the drug Lariam should be stopped.

I think soldiers are effected with this drug in one way or another but won't say it in fear of losing their job.

I was made take lariam for an 8 month period month before 6 month trip month on return I have never been the same person since !! It's took me a long time to come to terms with this or to be public about it due to the fear of been discharged from the defence forces but now I realise that would be far from the end of the world

i am an ex soldier that served in the leb dont know if i got this drug how ever after i came home been dignosed with an nurologal condition and no one how i got it even the consultant.

More needs to be done for they troops who have taken this drug me included..and the fact officers weren't given this drug and enlisted men and women were my question is why????

I was in the army from 1998 to 2004 and served over seas in Lebanon in 1999 and 2000.I don't know what drugs we were given but took what I was told to take for overseas duty.I was only 19 when I first went overseas for the irish defence forces.
