සාවිත්රා පෝල්රාජ් මහත්මිය කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු අමාත්ය, කාන්තා හා ළමා කටයුතු අමාත්යාංශය . බත්තරමුල්ල . ශ්රී ලංකාව. අමාත්ය තුමියනි, අපි විප්රවාසී ශ්රී ලාංකිකයෝ වෙමු. අපි රටින් පිටව ජීවත් වුවද සිතින් නිරන්තරයෙන් අපගේ මව් රට සමග බැඳී සිටිමු. එසේම අපගේ රටේ සිදුවන කටයුතු පිළිබඳව අවධානයෙන් පසුවෙමු. ඒ අනුව මෑතක සිට ඉතා ප්රචාරාත්මක හා සංවිධානශීලිව සමාජ මාධ්ය මගින් සිදුවෙන අශීලාචාර හා සභ්ය නොවන ක්රියාවලියක් ගැන දැනටමත් ඔබතුමිය දන්නා බව හා ඒ සම්බන්ධව ක්රියා මාර්ග ගනිමින් තිබෙන බව අපි මාධ්ය මගින් දැනගතිමු. මේ සිදුවීම් අප රටේ කීර්තිනාමයට මෙන්ම සාමාන්ය පවුල් සබඳතාවලටද සමාජයේ යහ පැවත්මට ද ඉතා පහත් අන්දමින් බලපෑම් කිරීමටද ඉවහල් වෙනු ඇත. එසේම අසහනකාරී ජීවිත ගෙවන අය ඉතා ඉක්මනින් මේ සමාජ සමග එක්වීමෙන් විශාල සමාජ ව්යසනයක් කරා යොමුවිය හැකිය. මේ සම්බන්ධ ශ්රී ලාංකේය රජය පවතින නීති රීති ප්රමාණවත් නොවේ නම් නව නීති පනවා මෙවන් අවකල් ක්රියා සමාජගත කරන පිරිස් මෙන්ම එම ක්රියා නඩත්තු කරවන පිරිස් ද එයින් මුදවා ගැනීමට අවශ්ය කටයුතු නොපමාවම කලයුතුව ඇත. මේ ඇරඹුම මේ අවස්ථාවේදිම අපි විසින් නවත්වා ගැනීමට ප්රමාද වීමෙන් වියහැකි අනාගත ව්යසනය දේශීය සමාජය මෙන්ම ජාත්යන්තරව පිළිගත් අපගේ රටේ ගෞරවනීය ප්රතිරූපය ද විනාශ කරවීමට දායක වීමක් විය හැකිය.

Honourable Minister,
We are Sri Lankans living overseas. Although we reside outside our country, our hearts remain constantly connected to our motherland.
We also closely follow the events and developments taking place in our country.
Accordingly, we understand through the media that you are already aware of, and are taking action regarding, a recent series of indecent and uncivilised activities that are being widely promoted and systematically organised through social media.
These incidents have the potential to negatively affect not only the reputation of our country, but also ordinary family relationships and the overall well-being and moral fabric of our society. Furthermore, individuals living difficult and vulnerable lives may be drawn into such groups very quickly, potentially leading to a serious social crisis.
If the existing laws and regulations of the Sri Lankan Government are insufficient to address this matter, we strongly believe that new laws and appropriate legal measures should be introduced without delay. Necessary action should be taken to prevent and protect both those who promote and normalise such inappropriate activities within society, as well as those who encourage and sustain them.
If we fail to take action and stop this trend at its very beginning, the consequences in the future could be devastating. Such a situation may not only cause serious harm to our local society, but could also contribute to damaging the honourable and respected image of Sri Lanka internationally.
We respectfully urge that immediate and appropriate action be taken to address this matter and protect the well-being, values, and future of our society.
