BAN FIREWORKS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY. In our area the inconsiderate residents have been shooting big bang crackers for two weeks they do not know when to stop, this goes on until early hours of the morning. Unfortunately one cannot phone the police as they do absolutely nothing, although it was stated that one had to get permission to have fireworks we live in a society where the majority are thoughtles do not have any feelings for animals or fellow humans. Firworks can be bought on street corners, years ago if you sold fireworks they had to be in a locked cupboard

I signed this petition because fireworks are extremely cruel to all animals. They are acutely traumatised. They get injured, maimed, die, run away from home in their terror and are never reunited with their owners again. Animal shelters and vets are inundated by petrified, injured and lost animals. BAN FIREWORKS. IT CALLS FOR NEW LEGISLATION.

What is so fantastic about fireworks anyway? Noise pollution in the first degree, where animals run wild, get lost and run over. Nothing fatastic about it. It's only the "empty barrels" of society that get a thrill out of this noise. Bann the sh*t once and for all. Lastly, it is ONLY the Metro cops around here that shoot the crackers, since they take, whatever they had to vonfiscate, for themselves. A bloody shame!!

Although our furbabies were relatively undisturbed by the fireworks in our neighbourhood, we reside on the border of the Kliprivier Nature Reserve and I am sure the wild animals were extremely traumatised by the fireworks!
