ban fireworks in ALL residential area's

Because I believe fireworks is dangerous for the animals and is just entertainment for such idiots that participate in its rubbish. Ban it forever.

I signed this petition because I feel no one really cares about the animals and even though there is a "law" against fireworks, people are still buying and shooting fireworks causing harm to pets. No fireworks = no harm

fireworks is just not doing any good to humans and to our animals noise pollution from the big bangs also very disturbing to our ears why do we need to use fire works at the end of a year

Animals are suffering

It is so sad to watch your pets quiver with fright hyperventilate and then you get the people that leave their pets either outside or locked up who injure themselves trying to run. This is just not on

I love all animals and don't want to see people injuring them. If they want to waste money its ok. But don't injure or scare helpless animals

Fireworks in residential areas should be banned outright. South Africa is a pet-orientated society, yet fireworks are still permitted in people's homes. By all means, attend a formal pyrotechnics display in a dedicated safe area such as a stadium, but the rest should be prohibited.

Dogs are precious and humans crab.

I fully agrree that fireworks must be banned. Peoples pets are suffering.children misuse fireworks on animals and they get injuref which is not acceptable. We must always stay at home when there is fireworks to look after our pets.

I signed as year after year I see the trauma and suffering that many animals including household pets go through when humans recklessly set off fireworks. One only needs to visit an animal shelter such as the SPCA during this time of the year to see the large numbers of animals that have injured themselves or gotton lost trying to flee the senseless noise caused by fireworks,

Not just animals are affected by fireworks but babies and old people too.

It traumatised thousands of animals many of whom are now either missing or dead.

Shooting fireworks is a useless waist of time, energy and money, with no benefit to any human or animal!

I totally agree.comming back on new years eve we found a small dog in the middle of the road wondering about like it did not know where home was. I hate fireworks. Ban them completely nobody will miss them.

Being a patroller of the CPF I've seen the most horrific situations where pets and animals were severely harmed and got lost during the festive season.

Fireworks are a menace.. my pets run in terror. My brother lost 2 dogs in 2015 due to them getting into a fight with each other. Each year it sounds like WW3 in their area. It is so unfair to animals.. people who set off fireworks have no regard for animals and the emotional trauma they put them through... people who set off fireworks in residential are selfish and barbaric with no sense of compassion for people and animals and should be locked up and charged with animal cruelty and be liable to a hefty fine and community service in an animal shelter, so they can feel the pain those poor animals feel..

Fireworks frighten animals

Fireworks are cruel to our animals. This Christmas they were also distressing for my elderly sister who has Parkinson's. We are tired of being held hostage by the few, those who have no compassion or empathy for creatures other than themselves.

Please will the Government Ban all fireworks!! The elderly, sickly, children and animals both domesticated and wild are all traumatised by thie senseless use of Fireworks.

Fireworks maims people, contributes to fire possibilities, hurts wildlife and pets. Results in litter. Noisy waste of money and dangerous!

I signed this petition because I have a cat that gets so frightened that she hides in cupboards and for days afterwards any sudden noice makes her jumpy.
