ban fireworks in ALL residential area's

My pets are all terrified of fireworks it's a stressful time when people set them off and unnecessary. We see too many pics after fireworks of pets that have been hurt trying to get away from the noise, so many animals run away when fireworks are being discharged it needs to be stopped.

Because I am tired of having my dogs so traumatised that their teeth actually rattle. And I am tired of having my windows cracked from the percussion bombs set off. I am tired of having my rights taking a backseat to everyone elses.

Because there are too many tstories of terrified dogs running away or hurting themselves

I gate to see so many animals traumatised each year.

There is no justification for alarming birds and animals to the extent that they often injure or kill themselves. That is besides babies, children and older or ill folks who cannot sleep for the sake of other people's fun.

I no longer believe that fireworks have any place in our society and create so much unnecessary trauma and injury to household pets and other animals. Many of those igniting fireworks have no idea of the danger they create and should be forced to work in animal recovery units to witness the resultant trauma and injury caused to animals. I understand some of the religious connotations associated with fireworks but this should be done in a control and safe environment far removed from residential areas. Also think the mass displays celebrating New Year are an absolute waste and the money should be channelled into far more important issues facing the global environment

The stress and anxiety fireworks cause the animals is inhumane.

I am a law abiding citizen and am sick and tired of having my pets traumatised for days on end - also being dictated to as to when and how I should care for my pets and family during these disrespectful periods

I signed this petition, as New Year, Guy Fawkes and Divali are an absolute nightmare for animals! It's time this practise was halted...Really hoping this petitions achieves results.

It's not only animals who suffer. My husband is a combat veteran and unplanned, unexpected fireworks cause terror and devastation to him and thousands of others like him. Please stop them.

I love animals and see the way they suffer each time people abuse fireworks.

Humans are irresponsible & animals suffer because of this. Fireworks are a hazard in the shops too & this seems to be overlooked by the authorities too. Loud bomb type fireworks should not even be included in any organised displays.
