ban fireworks in ALL residential area's

A dogs ears are FAR more sensitive than humans! The sound of crackers is totally devastating to them. This is such a cruel way of entertainment that affects our beloved pets terribly.

As this is cruelty to animals and is abs unnecessary. Nothing calls for these fireworks.

Our pets suffered each year and we're very reluctant to get another dog and cat because of this stupid klappertjies .

I am really against fireworks as every year I sit at home with terrified babies and so many other animals are maimed and lost due to this

I have 6 dogs and every Divali and every New Year, I have to sit with them and watch their trauma. It's not fair to the animals or their owners.

Every thing with ears is affected by needless and often dangerous use of fireworks. Birds;bats;mongoose;snakes;lizzards;cats;dogs and alot more are negatively affected.

To ban the use of all types of fireworks, so many people have already been hurt and not to mention what it does to animals!

There is nothing good about fireworks.

I object to the harm that fireworks cause to animals both domestic and wild and I cannot find any justification for fireworks when I see children injured and maimed. Fireworks infringe on our right to peace and rest.

Because I see how it scares the children and adults, not to mention the medical emergencies it creates.

Because I really don't see why we should traumetise sooo many animals for something that has no meaning except personal human pleasure. If its a religious thing shoot it outside of the residential area. Allocated. Areas. Then everybody is happy. RE the festival of light. I respect that. Why the loud bombers. Its not the festival of sound. Plssssss. My dog still hasn't fully recovered

Lol, I think you mean Diwali, but Dewani is just as dangerous haha. 

They actually only allowed to let off between 11.45pm to 12.15am on New Years Eve - 30 minutes only!!

Have animals that are petrified when they hear fireworks!!!

Because people are irresponsible and inconsiderate, children get hurt due to unsupervised fireworks, animals are traumatised, often also hurt, sleep deprivation due to noise and the list goes on. . . Fireworks is a pointless practise that has no positive attributes. No good can ever come from it, and I fail to see how it is considered entertaining, Although user instructions are very straight forward complete with diagrams, it's still not moron friendly. Ban it please. . .

I cannot stand the fact that animals are affected by this selfish practise.

I am an animal lover and see first hand how this traumatises animals. Secondly, I work at a Wildlife Rehabilitation centre and our wildlife were petrified of the fireworks which meant that our Clinic Nurses and Primate Manager were up most of the night checking on the various wildlife at the centre.

Fireworks are a waste of money. You are literally burning money. Rather go buy food and/or clothing and give this to the needy.

I really think that setting off fireworks in residential areas should be banned!!! When I lived in Malelane for 7 yrs, the fire department ear marked an area outside the town and invited the whole town to meet there and all the fireworks were set off there. It was controlled and did not affect anyone's pets in the town.
PLEASE BAN FIREWORKS AND SEE THAT IT IS IMPLEMENTED AND PEOPLE GET FINED!

People do not take animals in to consideration plus some people go out their way to hurt animals. Fire works should be band in all residential areas. Large finds should be unforced even for a small fireworks

I'm sick of the terror, distress and deaths of pets and other wildlife just for the entertainment of some people. Displays should only be allowed in a controlled environment away from residential areas

Yellowwood Park has a nature reserve and an animal hospital. Fireworks in this area is irresponsible and cruel.
