I am a resident in the area and have seen a significant spike in crime since the squatters have been occupying the mountain. I would further like to ensure that our mountains remain clean and safe.

For the safety of our community and to stop vegetation fires near the squatters. I think there were 2 fires last summer which threatened homes in Stonehaven & Capri.

Long overdue!

Crime has increase dramatically and locals of capri have been threatened by these sqauters. Property Value will also plummet due to unsafe conditions.

The Crime on Blackhill is now out of control, with daily break-ins in Capri Village. Someone is going to get hurt or killed, it has to be dealt with as a priority.

Breeding ground for criminals and also illegal squating on mountainside.

People need to live in a place where there is access to water and electricity.
Litter is becoming a problem and affecting the environment

Sick of the crime . Sick of the negligent lighting of fires which threaten our whole valley .
Guest#10 Aug 19, 2016, 14:19
in hopes that the pathetic law in this country will act accordingly.
Guest#11 Aug 19, 2016, 14:26

Guest#14 Aug 19, 2016, 14:56
To preserve the natural beauty of the area and prevent the start of an informal settlement
Guest#15 Aug 19, 2016, 15:00
I live nearby and see the litter and mess when I walk on the mountain, and I am sick of fires and crime !!!
Guest#16 Aug 19, 2016, 15:13
I live in the area and I don't feel safe anymore.
Guest#17 Aug 19, 2016, 15:16
We have long been waiting for some serious action on this matter, long overdue !!!!
Guest#18 Aug 19, 2016, 15:19
These people must be sent back to wherever they came from. If not, We will end up with a situation such as the N2 on the way to the Airport. I was recently robbed of My wallet, cash and Drivers Licence etc in broad daylight, by an axe-wielding maniac. at an ATM near Foodzone, It is going to get worse.
Guest#19 Aug 19, 2016, 15:21
I signed because the area is not suitable for yet another informal settlement. Environmentally it would be a disaster as well as fire hazard. It would be better to provide proper housing elsewhere.
But this situation is just a land grab ... that area was never meant or zoned for housing/habitation ... and as for the crime implications .. they speak for themselves.

Crime in Capri is increasing drastically, and it will soon have a very bad ending, either for one the criminals, or one of their victims.

Guest#21 Aug 19, 2016, 15:24
To be able to remove people on Black Hill that should not be living there
Guest#22 Aug 19, 2016, 15:33
Do not want criminals living on my doorstep robbing surrounding houses as well as threatening the environment
Guest#23 Aug 19, 2016, 15:43

If you dont have a home and or job, where would you live ?

The negatives are a result of their sad siuation, Im not justifing their actions

moving them is not a solution ! it moves the problem somewhere else.

Residents shoudnt "pay", for their sad situation....

Goverment cant help

An ANSWER to both is needed Urgently, other wise all will sink

Guest#25 Aug 19, 2016, 15:51
While I feel sorry for these people, action needs to be taken as the problem is escalating and soon will impact on my family and my safety. Thanks to all for the actions thus far
