I believe Jamie is an awesome and important asset to our community. He is a great role model for all kids and adults for both soccer community and just anyone who is lucky enough to know him.

Jamie is incredibly valuable to the Queenstown Football Club. He is an outstanding coach and his passion and drive for the club is unbeatable.

We finally have an incredible football coach who focuses on young students. He is professional, reliable and the students respect him immensely. He has completely motivated my two girls with his commitment and enthusiasm along with his wonderful sense of humour. In Queenstown we struggle to get people to stay long term due to the expensive nature of the place. I can not support this petition enough. You can ring me anytime on 0274890817.

Because Jamie is a great footballing ambassador for all age groups, football in NZ and is precisely the type of mentor and coach the children of NZ Need in order to flourish in sport. He has to stay.

The New Zealand Government are discriminating based on a genetic illness. Why is this allowed but discrimination against race, creed or disibility is not? Jamie has lived in New Zealand for a number of years and has made a significant difference to the lives of many children through his football coaching - he has a job: he is not there to free load.

Jamie does an amazing job coaching, teaching, inspiring the kids in this area - he is a valuable asset to the region. From my perspective with 3 girls he has really been encouraging 'girls in sport' mentally - 'give it a go and don't worry about the boys'!

Jamie is an absolute legend and we are lucky to have him in this country. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in not only the game of football but player and personal development. It would be a loss to the region and the country if red tape and politics interfered with Jamie's ability to stay and share his experience with our emerging talent. We're lucky Jamie has decided to call our country his home.

Jamie Whitmarsh is the head coach and (in my opinion) the driving force behind the Queenstown Player Development Squad of which my son has been attending the last two years.
Theo aged 11yrs reckons:
"PDS is awesome, fun and friendly way to learn to play better soccer."
"JW is funny and nice, he is inspiring, he makes me feel good inside even when I make mistakes."
We, Ben and Allie (Theos parents) think he is a great role model and fantastic at setting attainable goals for Theo and motivating him to become a better football player.
Theo's enthusiasm for the game has grown exponentially under JW guidance. In the age of technology, it is refreshing to see a motivated pre teen so keen to kick a ball about on rainy/windy days to improve his newly learnt skills from PDS. We believe JW and PDS have been mighty motivators behind Theo's football passion. We would be very sad to see that change.

Jamie has a mild form of cystic fibrosis which doesn't seem to stop him. Everyone would agree that the contribution he makes vastly outweighs any resulting minor health related costs to NZ.
