That is one little town that CANNOT afford to lose proper cops. Put the man back into his job. Charge the 'officers' who lied in court. They are one of the greatest dangers to peace and order. Lying cops are a serious issue. As bad as murderers, maybe worse. If they lied here, where else did they lie? Straight up honest cops are a blessing that can't be taken for granted.

Justice will prevail and the real suspects must be brought to book and charged
Guest#4 Aug 08, 2014, 21:09
Burmie must be compensated in full for what he has lost as well as defamation of character as of immediate effect and the culprits who caused him the loss of everything must be relieved of their duties without salary or compensation as of immediate effect. Where is Justice in this country ....

I cant trust the SAPS, if they are also criminals. They are supposed to make us feel safer, not the way I feel now.

Restore Johan Burmeister into the SAPS and restore our faith in SAPS!

JUSTICE AND REVENGE ARE BOTH DISHES BEST SERVED COLD.

It is a disgrace the way police act nowadays. I was a police officer for a long time. It is a relieve to think that I am not involved with that circus anymore. Johann do not stop here. Burn them. It is disgusting the way they treated you after so many years of excellent service.

The Knysna SAPS is broken!

We've all known for a long time that the engine under the hood is broken. Burmeister's case was solid proof of such. Since the car belongs to us (and is only driven by the police), we need to ensure that the engine gets fixed. A good place to start is to fill it up with Unleaded Public petrol, spark the engine to life with this case, and choose a destination.

Get rid of the bad apples and get the passionate cops back in this community. It goes without saying that he should be re-instated with full back-pay and compensated for this injustice!

Time to get the Public Protector involved

She's got the teeth to make it all happen.

Guest#12 Aug 11, 2014, 19:21
Petitions are the way that people like us who Really Believe the man is innocent as well as the way informed women and men can try to "MAKE A DIFFERENCE"

We need justice to prevail
Honest Knysna Citizen#14 Aug 11, 2014, 20:02

The public need to get the Knysna SAPS to get rid of every single vrot apple - Name and shame these people, we don't want them, burn them alive. Lots of people know who they are, it's only a matter of time.........best they leave town now, together with their spouses, who are on the same train. How can these people sleep at night, knowing what they've done, and continue to do..........We know who u are!!

Who can we turn to or trust, now that Johann Burmeister is no longer on call 24/7???

Discrasful what has been done to Burmie
Just like to say!...#16 Aug 12, 2014, 07:00

Cannot understand how investigations work these day's! How can you charge anyone (let alone arrest and fire such a person) for a crime without prima facie evidence in the first place. Gross incompentancy on behalf of the SAPS and Justice Depatrment. Culprits must be invetigated followed by appropriate action. A police officer cannot just arrest a person just because he/she has the power to do so. There must be consequences for such stupid incompetent officials whom does not have the slightest idea how basic police procedures work or have total disregard for such procedures.

The family have lost so much.   They should be full compensated for all they have endured over the last few months.

Guest#22 Aug 13, 2014, 14:15
Only half the battle has been won with the proven innocence of Burmie - now this needs to run the full course of justice! Transgressors to be held accountable for this deed!
Guest#23 Aug 13, 2014, 18:25
