If you've ever cared about reopening a school in the NE quadrant of the city, today is the day to email the trustees at "trustees at mvwsd.org" to show your support.

In particular, it seems as though there is a lot of vocal opposition to reopening Slater under the misinformed basis that it will cut into the Measure G funds for the other schools. This is not the case. IF Slater gets reopened it will be either with a new bond measure that is properly budgeted as such, or through a loan leveraged on the extra lease money coming from GISSV and Google, who are renting the Whisman and Slater schools, respectively.
