As a Licensee of some 40 Years in Wanstead i have seen some of the most rapid deterioration of any Area in London particularly in the last 10 Years, which is so sad . The once so very safe Area is no longer safe. A virtual total lack of Policing which has long ago been left to the Residents to do their own has resulted in the Area now becoming a very high crime Area at almost every level . Quite alarmingly , now in the last 3 to 5 Years the levels of violent crime has risen dramatically ,contrary to all of the spin that is fed to us by the Doctors of spin on behalf of our Leaders of what ever Political beliefs . A.S.B. Is now rife all over the Area , Beggars , Rough Sleepers apart from all of the other Social Diseases & addictions that are quite openly carried out on a daily basis all over the High Street & Park areas . We are now expected to deal with most levels of Crime & Disorder & A.S.B. no matter where it instigates from . We are now an easy target for the Yob element as everything they require is on hand . A Lucrative Area with a lot of nice Social Venues & Eating Establishments serviced by a Prosperous Residential Population & young professional Families moving into the Area . Ever since the closure of Wanstead Police Station the Area has gone down Hill so rapidly its quite frightening . We were lied to & told this wouldnt be allowed to happen ,it has . Quite sad to see OCADO refusing to deliver to Wanstead for any more new Accounts !!!!! . Rightly or wrongly that sums it up . Well done Colin Cronin for highlighting this issue . We need more honest & courageous People to stand up & expose the degeneration of our once Beautiful Area . The disgusting condition of the once lovely British Queen that i managed for 9 Years with a fantastic Clientele breaks my Heart as i pass it every Day . Now a disgusting eye sore .How can this be allowed to happen & go ignored it certainly isnt allowed for us Licensees who are Trading Keep up the good work Colin , we need your voice & Political honesty more & more You have our Support & Support of my Customers .
