What hasn't already been said about the potholes in and around Vryheid and Abaqulusi?

The state of the roads has been addressed by the community and the media at length and still we wait for something to be done.

Over the past few years, the pothole plague has escalated to the point where it is now out of control. It all began with Mark Street, and then President Street followed suit. Now residents of Vryheid are hard-pressed to name even one street in Vryheid that is not ravaged by potholes.

"Enough is enough. We are gatvol of the blatant disregard for the safety of our motorists in Vryheid and the disgraceful state of our roads. We urgently need to put an end to the neglect and ruin of our roads..." - Magda Viktor, Ward 9 Councillor and long time resident of Vryheid.
