Government is not allowed to force Psemas patients to use state facilities

Recently the Minister of health in Namibia along with the President of the republic informed the media houses that all civil servants paying for their medical aid (Psemas) will be forced to seek treatment from public hospitals only. However, the premiums were hiked 50%. All civil servants signed a binding contract on which they were offered the medical aid benefit. Since they are paying, why then are they being forced to use state facilities. Being in mind there is always a shortage of staff. No medication is available. Staff at public hospitals lack professional curtesy. As Paying employees, entitled to medical aid we refuse to be bullied. Nantu and the Government of Namibia purposely increased the salary by 5% to be obsorved by Psemas installments. Employees were not aware of the Consultations. Violation of human rights and breach of contract between employer and employee.Increament and Psemas must be renegotiated. Vote of no confidence in the unions involved. Civil servants must be included in negotiations by people they put in power!
