PETITION: GUMBA JOINT FESTIVE EVENT – PARK VILLAGE, AMBERFIELD & TAUNG
To: The Management / House Committees of Park Village, Amberfield, and Taung
From: Students of the Vaal University of Technology and Residents of the student accommodation
Dear Management,
We, the students residing at Park Village, Amberfield, and Taung, are writing to respectfully request your support for a joint festive event to be held in early August, popularly known as GUMBA.
Why we want this:
· To bring our three residence communities together in a spirit of fun and unity.
· To celebrate and socialise with each other, as well as with other VUT students who would like to join.
· To build stronger friendships and a sense of belonging across our residences.
What we are asking for:
· Permission and support from each residence management to host Gumba as a joint event.
· That the event be open to all VUT students, not just residents, to promote inclusivity and campus togetherness.
We believe this event will boost student morale, strengthen our community, and create lasting memories. We are ready to help with planning and organising to make it a success.
We kindly ask for your approval and support.
Thank you for considering our request.
