Improve security and access control at Altaona resort

Residents of Altaona are increasingly concerned that access to the resort is not being secured properly and that security on the resort is not being controlled effectively. Recent incidents (trespassing, burglary , etc) have shown that this is no longer a minor inconvenience — it is a real security risk that affects everyone who lives here, works here, or visits the community. And past incidents have shown how bad it can become. There is still no light in new area’s because of copper theft in the past when security was down.

When access is weak, the whole resort becomes more vulnerable. Uncontrolled entry leads to trespassing, theft, nuisance, and a general loss of peace of mind. If nothing changes, residents continue to feel unsafe in their own neighbourhood, and the community will face more incidents that are harder and more expensive to deal with later.

The committee has the responsibility to act before the problem grows worse. Altaona needs a clear and effective system that protects entry to the resort and ensures proper control of security on site, rather than relying on a process that has already shown gaps. The residents already faced cost raises on security for the last 3-4 years but safety has gone down instead of improving.

The committee of the Altaona community should make this a formal item at an EGM in the next 2 to 4 weeks and approve immediate measures to secure access and strengthen security control across the resort.

That decision should include a practical plan for controlled access, stronger oversight of security arrangements, and prompt implementation once approved. Residents do not need vague assurances; they need visible measures that reduce risk and restore confidence in the safety of the community. We want the committee to close the old gate for non-residents, checkups of people entering through new main gate and create the already promised oversight on the construction entrance. Just like any other golf resort in our area does.

Altaona should be a place where people can live with confidence, not concern. This is also important for the building companies that promise 24/7 security which at the moment is not working effectively. Acting now would protect residents, improve day-to-day peace of mind, and help prevent further incidents before they happen.
