Keep Historical Archives Assistant Position
We the undersigned, believe that the Montgomery County Department of History and Archives is a vital part of our community's history and that it must stay staffed and open to the Public.
The Montgomery County Department of History & Archives was formed in 1934 by resolution of the Board of Supervisors. The genealogical and historical research library contains a voluminous amount of records that are accessible to the public. Not a lending library, the Dept. of History & Archives welcomes visitors from all over the country in search of their heritage.
If the Historical Archives Assitant Position is eliminated, the Department will not be able to remain open at its current hours.
We, the undersigned urge the Montgomery County Board of Supervisors to keep the Historical Archives Assistant Position.
