WHY, The need for the name change?

This is what was said.....Harbourside Netball Centre, 🤷‍♀️ Sounds like North Harbour Netball Centre!🤦‍♀️ and people are confused! Really?? So people ask the question "where's Harbourside? No biggie... " it's in the beautiful BOP Mount or Mt Maunganui..The end!

Why is the board wanting to go back to Tauranga Netball? Are they wanting to make a name for themselves, under this new entity? 🤷‍♀️🤔🤔 because the reason given, in my opinion is rubbish...

Comments on FB post... Why the sudden change...  it has to be for financial gain?🤷‍♀️.. 

Are you aware Harbourside Netball Centre is made up of Tauranga Netball and Mt Maunganui Netball, with Katikati and Te Puke Netball being independent Centres (KatiKati now no longer a Centre). There must have been valid reasons why the Executive Committees back then had changed the name, I heard.. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong) They identified the need to amalgamate the two fast growing towns to "Harbourside Netball Centre" Which makes sense! Right!🤷‍♀️

When I hear the name Harbourside, I feel it is inclusive of surrounding communities within our district...BOP Geographic spread from Katikati to Pukehina covering the Kaimais and more.
Whereas, Tauranga Netball Centre, hmmm not so much🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ it's just Tauranga!

However...Tauranga Moana Netball Centre has a good sound to it!😁 but, we won't go there...🤷‍♀️ or shell we? 🤔😁

Is our current name, really affecting the netball game in our Community?😳

Is the need to change the name a priority for Harbourside Netball Centre or could we be focusing on areas that need developing, or having improvement on i.e competition, representative programmes, recruiting volunteers/facilitators.

Have we suffered financially in the last 25 years of Netball Operations because of the name? i.e Harbourside Netball Centre being misunderstood for another netball centre🤦‍♀️ … Aunty Google isn't confused, (try it) shes been guiding thousands of people to Harbourside Netball Centre for AIMS since 2004! And other big tournaments held, over the years!

What are the costs/processes involved to change the name? (Change the Logo? Change the Uniforms? Change the Stationary? Change the media? Change the Advertisements. … and so on)

Keep in mind the member vote...
