Keep Prof. Dr. Amanda Machin!
Dear fellow students,
Amanda's contract might not get extended for the upcoming WS20/21.
I think we should let the university know that we would still like her as our professor! At our university only 3% of the professors are women and Amanda is the only english native speaking PPE-professor. She is an enrichment for our department and the PPÖ/PPE-program, not only because of her professional and rich knowledge in the fields of climate change and democracy. Her classes always have a very open, warm and communicative atmosphere and Amanda encourages discussions and discourses and motivates her students to critical reflect. Her unique and supportive way of teaching makes her stand out from others.
I can only speak for myself, but I would say that I'm not the only one who thinks that Amanda broadens our horizon and is an enrichment for the PPÖ and PPE-department.
