Keep Río Verde Beach Open and Accessible for Everyone in Marbella
Protect Alma Beach Kiosk and Río Verde Beach
My name is Montse Alonso, and I have been working at Alma Beach Kiosk on Río Verde Beach, near Puerto Banús (Marbella), for almost 20 years.
Throughout this time, we have worked hard to provide a friendly, accessible, and quality service to the locals, families, and visitors. Alma Beach is not just a business; it is part of the lives of many people who enjoy this beach every summer.
We are now faced with the possibility of losing our jobs and our project because, according to the information we have, the concession will be transferred to Boho Club. This situation jeopardizes not only our employment but also an open and accessible beach model for everyone.
We ask the Marbella City Council and the relevant authorities to review this situation and consider the experience of those of us who have been working and caring for this space for years.
We are not asking for privileges. We are asking for a chance to keep working, for the efforts of local small business owners to be recognized, and for Río Verde Beach to remain a place for everyone, not just for those who can afford a luxury model.
If you also believe that local businesses, workers, and public access to our beaches should be protected, please sign this petition.
Almost 20 years of work should not disappear without our voice being heard.
