Koivuhaka health station should be preserved

Sign this petition if you think that the Koivuhaa health center with all its services should be kept in Koivuhaa!

You can sign the petition online or in a paper version. Paper versions are available and can be signed at Koivuhaa health center, Koivuhaa pharmacy and library, K-Market Ykspihlaja and Kokkola main library. The address is open for signatures until at least April 15, 2026. The Koivuhaa health center's operating area is large and has many residents. In addition to Koivuhaa, the area includes Öja, Ykspihlaja, Kvikant, Mesilä, Taularuukki, Matalamaa and Tarharanta. According to my own calculations, there are at least 7,000 potential customers in the operating area.

No decision has been made to close the Koivuhaa health center. There are threat images, the matter has been discussed in the columns of newspapers. The threat is that the Koivuhaa health center will be closed and the services will be moved to a new location on Mariankatu.

In large locations, customers easily get lost in bureaucracy and rules. Large units do not work like small units. A small location creates a different environment for patients, people, nurses and doctors to meet, it is easier to get to know people holistically. It is easier to handle even difficult solutions and problems and make decisions. Customers have been satisfied with our care center, they feel that both nurses and doctors have welcomed them. In today's society and global situation, various threats, such as virus epidemics and wars, must also be taken into account
