We, the undersigned residents of Hawks Crest, are writing to express our strong opposition to the installation of speed bumps within our community. The decision to implement these traffic control measures was made without a vote or adequate consultation with homeowners, raising concerns about the process and the impact on our neighborhood.

Reasons for Our Opposition:

1. Vehicle Damage: Speed bumps can cause significant wear and tear on vehicles, leading to increased maintenance costs for homeowners. The abrupt changes in speed can affect suspension systems and lead to other mechanical issues.

2. Noise Pollution: Speed bumps often lead to increased noise from vehicles as they slow down and accelerate, disrupting the peace and quiet of our neighborhood.

3. Decreased Home Values: Studies have shown that the presence of speed bumps can negatively impact property values. Potential buyers often view speed bumps as an inconvenience, leading them to consider other neighborhoods without such features.
