PETITION REGARDING ONGOING NOISE DISTURBANCE
Subject: Ongoing Noise Disturbance, Anti-Social Behaviour, Child Endangerment, and Repeated Failure of Law Enforcement to Act
I, the undersigned, hereby submit this formal petition to report and escalate a long-standing, severe, and ongoing situation involving my neighbours, which has caused extreme distress, sleep deprivation, disruption to my employment, and the breakdown of my family life. This matter has been ongoing since November 2024 and continues daily without interruption despite countless reports to Law Enforcement and other channels.
Background and Timeline:
1. Since November 2024, my neighbours have continuously engaged in excessive and deliberate noise-making, including but not limited to:
o Knocking on metal, walls, and plastic bottles
o Burning copper
o Scrapping for materials for money and drugs
o Loud gatherings and knocking from as early as 4:00 AM until 11:00 PM or later
2. These actions occur every single day, often involving:
o The occupants of the house
o Individuals who sleep outside the property
o Known drug users
3. During this time, I was calling Law Enforcement almost daily, yet no effective intervention has ever taken place. Impact on My Family and Livelihood · When my child was a newborn, the noise continued without consideration.
· Due to the constant disturbance, my child’s mother moved out with the baby. Even when they visit, they do not stay long because of the noise. I now get an average of approximately 4 hours of sleep per day for the most, while working 5 days a week or more. I previously worked from home but was forced to return to office work because:
o The noise was constant
o Clients complained
o My work performance was directly affected Serious Welfare and Safety Concerns
· The neighbour’s child was removed from primary school and now:
o Goes out daily at 4:00–5:00 AM with adults and alone now to scratch in bins
o Is exposed to and participates in drug use and uses drugs as well
· There is also a small baby in that household who has:
o Been left unattended
o Been found running into the road alone that cars needs to break hard at times
o Been seen playing with bricks and sharp objects These situations raise serious concerns of child neglect and endangerment. Intimidation and Escalation · When I attempt to speak to them or ask for the noise to stop, the situation escalates, and they become hostile toward me.
· The owner of the house is currently in hospital, reportedly due to stress caused by these occupants, who threaten him regularly but too performs in these activities as well.
· Despite repeated complaints, the behaviour continues openly and deliberately, seemingly without fear of consequences. Attempts to Seek Help
· On 24 August 2025, I publicly reached out for guidance after exhausting all official channels, clearly stating my distress and the lack of response from Law Enforcement.
· On 3 December 2025, I followed up again after being told assistance would be provided. No assistance was received.
· On 31 December 2025, I followed up again after being told assistance would be provided. No assistance was received.
· On 12 January 2026, I followed up again after being told assistance would be provided. No assistance was received.
· As of 22 January 2026, the disturbance continued from 3:00 AM onward, preventing me from sleeping entirely before work.
Current Situation As of today 22 January 2026, this behaviour continues every single day. I have reached my breaking point after more than a year of unrelenting disturbance, neglect, and inaction by authorities. I have done everything possible to handle this situation lawfully, calmly, and correctly. I have repeatedly sought help instead of taking matters into my own hands. However, the continued failure to act places me under severe emotional, mental, and physical strain.
Request for Immediate Action I respectfully but urgently request:
1. Immediate investigation and intervention regarding the ongoing noise disturbance and anti-social behaviour
2. Enforcement of noise, public nuisance, and drug-related laws
3. A welfare check and appropriate action concerning the children involved
4. Written feedback and confirmation of actions taken
5. Protection against retaliation or further harassment This petition serves as formal notice that the situation has become unbearable and unsafe, and that continued inaction may lead to serious consequences that could have been prevented through timely intervention.
