Petition to close potential adult business in Roger’s County Oklahoma

We, the undersigned residents and property owners of Chelsea, Oklahoma, respectfully submit this petition to express our concerns regarding the proposed establishment of an adult entertainment business near our homes.

My family and I have lived on this property for over 20 years. i purchased this house with my wife from my family and we spend a year remodeling we currently reside here with my wife and our two-year-old son, and this has long been a quiet, family-oriented area. Many of us have chosen to live here because of the safety, stability, and character of the community.

We are concerned that the introduction of a strip club in close proximity to residential homes may have negative impacts, including:

  • Increased traffic and noise, particularly during late-night hours
  • Potential public safety concerns
  • Effects on nearby families and children
  • Possible decline in property values
  • Incompatibility with the existing residential nature of the area

We fully respect the rights of businesses to operate within the law. However, we believe that the location of this particular type of business should be carefully considered to ensure it does not adversely affect established neighborhoods.

For these reasons, we respectfully request that county officials:

  • Review the zoning and permitting for this business
  • Consider the concerns of nearby residents
  • Deny approval at this location or require relocation to a more appropriate area

We appreciate your time and consideration of this matter and ask that the voices of local residents be taken into account in any final decision.
