SALFORD RED DEVILS FANS AGAINST JACOBSEN VENTURE GROUP

We, the undersigned supporters of Salford Red Devils, are calling for urgent intervention to safeguard the very existence of our historic club.
Today, 29th October 2025, the Courts issued a further 14-day adjournment, following the submission of new financial documents which claim that all club creditors will be paid within that period. This comes after the previous 56-day adjournment on 3rd September 2025, when representatives of the current ownership assured the Court that a £5m bridging loan would arrive within 10 days, something that never materialised.
Over recent months, supporters have witnessed a pattern of broken assurances, delayed promises and documentation that has repeatedly failed to deliver the outcomes claimed. There are widely-reported allegations including reports involving forged financial documents referenced by Emirates NBD which have severely undermined confidence in the club’s owners, Jacobsen Venture Management and their ability to act in the best interests of Salford Red Devils.
We believe the actions and decisions of the current ownership have resulted in significant reputational and operational harm to our club described by many as the most damaging decline of a Super League side in the sport’s history.
Worse still, supporters now fear that delays such as today’s adjournment are deliberately jeopardising any realistic opportunity for a new ownership group to restore the club and compete in the 2026 Championship season, which is now rapidly approaching.
We urgently implore:
The Rugby Football League to act immediately by revoking the club’s membership, removing this situation from the Courts and HMRC’s exclusive control. Salford City Council to terminate the tenancy agreement with the current ownership, preventing further damage to the club and community asset.
We acknowledge both organisations may be cautious about how such actions appear but this petition demonstrates clearly and unquestionably that supporters want this intervention. We expect leadership that reflects the will of the fans and protects the future of professional rugby league in Salford.
