Save Maldon's Easter Parade

Maldon has held an Easter Parade every Easter Monday, (public holiday)  continuously for 145 years. This year will be its 146th year.

Unfortunately the 147th Parade is under threat due to VicRoads rules allowing Victoria's First Notable Town Maldon and its High Street to be used as a route for B-Double Trucks.

VicRoads will not allow the road to be closed for a maxium of 2hrs for the Parade and have suggested that an alterative route be found. This is not possible in a small town like Maldon.

Our petition is-

- The Parade is to continue in its current form forever. it needs to be recognised for its importance to the community and its long standing tradition.

- VicRoads should bypass Maldon Historic precinct. B-double Trucks12801220_10208906336442845_3547360056482520280_n.jpg impact the historic aspects and structures of the Town.
