My family has lived in this neighborhood for 13 years, and it has always been a peaceful, family-oriented place to call home. There are many families with children on this street, and we take pride in the safe, quiet environment we’ve built together. Placing a strip club just two houses down would drastically change the character of our neighborhood and bring increased traffic, noise, and activity that simply doesn’t belong in a residential area. We are deeply concerned about the type of crowd this could attract and the impact it would have on our safety, property values, and overall quality of life. I am signing this for all the above stated reasons. As a veteran with 6 years of military service and multiple deployments including combat deployments I decided to buy this land when I received my DD-214 in order to have a quiet family friendly location to raise my family and live in relative peace and safety to protect my children. I am signing this petition, because when the buyers purchased this property, which shares a fence line with our property where son & his young family live within 50 +/- yards of the building. It was told to us that they would be putting in an auto mechanic shop, not an all nude adult entertainment establishment. My family and I bought our home in Chelsea in 2021. When we moved here it wasn't much going on since then there have become many family owned businesses and quality people. Bringing establishments such as this doesn't attract the demographic of people to promote family, Jesus but most of all people in our community. This business promotes the opposite of the majority core values. This type of venue promotes moral degradation. This sort of entity increases the chances for sex trafficking and extortion.It has no place in the zoning it is currently in. There are no adequate resources for emergency response or protection given the nature of the business. The business is more of a liability for the county on more than the subject of being unethical and morally bankrupt.
