Tri Dam is consistently abusing their power. And that day use area is unsafe and unmaintainable.

I just spent the last Year and half trying to get my dock signed off. It was installed in 2007, but the previous owners never closed the permit. My dock was 42' from the current 510. I can share details of the nightmare if interested.

I'm signing this petition because we have suffered and our great Lake Tulloch have for too long been managed by abusive, ridiculous and ever changing rules and edicts by a bad compliance cop by the name of Susan Larson who caused too many problems to most if not all Lake front property owners, while Tri-Dam lets her doing whatever she feels or like. Not a good management. Time to Change.

I believe in the action. I have been a realtor in Copperopolis for over 33 years. During the time the County was in charge applications and permits for docks decks and sea walls went relatively smoothly. Merle Holman even back then fought for the homeowners rights. He was always against Tri Dams cherry picking who got what and he and I tried in our own ways to get Tri Dam out of the picture and have the County back in control. If I can be of assistance please contact me I have a lot of knowledge stored in my head including a dock installed that was never paid for.

The county is better equipped to handle the permit process

We need a change and local control!

The people in charge at Tri Dam are power hungry and punitive.

I feel that my neighbors and myself need protection from councils that have no consideration for the people who live in this community. Lake Tulloch has become a very popular place to be and I would not like that to change!

Tri-Dam is out of control, has been for years as stated. Thank you to all that are trying to do something about this injustice.

I support this issue.

I've heard plenty of complaints over the past 4 years living here. I hear trying to obtain a dock has been a real pain for future owners in the area or others that need to make changes. I agree with giving it to the county.

Just because you have money doesn't mean you should be taken advantage of anyone over this resident with no money.

Thank you

Too many hands in the pot... streamline government and have a general plan. County handles building permits and record keeping,

We want control of our own docks. Its becoming an issue dealing with tri dam and the unprofessional staff they have there. They never follow through the correct way. Qs soon qs you get to want they want they change their minds and make you jump through more hoops. It should be this difficult to manage our docks.

It seems logical for Calaveras County to perform this function (and have the funding for it), especially since the Tri-Dam function has been exceedingly problematic.

Graham Anderson (Copperopolis, 2020-08-13)

Working with Tri-Dam is too cumbersome.

I agree with this petition. Surprised to see so few Realtors stepping up. Everyone should consider that when selecting a Realtor.

Tri-dam is over reaching its authority. The current policies in place are costing people time and money because they are not being regulated.

anthony Deshaw (Copperopolis , 2020-08-21)

I have a house at lake Tulloch, since 1980 and tri-dam should not have reign over dock permits.

Andras Hites (Columbia, 2020-08-21)

I'm signing because rights to issue/manage permits lie with the county.

Lake Tulloch is a vital part of our families' vitality and connection and has been for over 30 years. I want Calaveras County to control over private property.

Tri Dam has been the most miserable, autocratic agency I’ve ever had to deal with. They are responsible for the worst experiences of my life as a homeowner. It is exasperating to know that they never should have had this authority to begin with. This is long overdue.

Deborah Ferguson (Copperopolis, 2020-08-23)

#140

I am signing because I have had a home on the lake for more than 30 years and would like to see the this matter of Tri-Dam and the Army Corp final resolved.

WILLIAM CHAPMAN (SAN JOSE, 2020-08-24)

#144

I’ve been a lakefront homeowner on Lake Tulloch for over 20 years!

Dianne Temkin (Danville, 2020-08-25)

#146

We need the ability to obtain permits for more docks on lake Tulloch for the property owners. This should be managed by the county not Tri-dam. Its ridiculous to have so few docks that a property owner has to wait years on a waiting list to get a boat slip!

Cheryl Williamson (copperopolis, 2020-08-26)

#149

I'm signing because I am a resident of the community and believe community decisions should largely stay with the community.

We have owned several properties on Lake Tulloch since the early 80's. In 2017 we purchased lake front property in poker flat to construct our family dream home. After submitting building plans to Calaveras Co, Tri Dam was sent a site plan to verify that the building was not below 515' elevation, which could easily be determined by the county plan checker. During the course of this, Tri Dam discovered that our dock which was permitted by them (by the previous owner) over 10 years ago was out of compliance and over our property line by @ 6 ft. After doing some research the dock was constructed by a licensed contractor who constructed the dock as permitted by Tri Dam back in 2010. The dock measured true and accurate to the permit. Ms. Larson of Tri Dam said that because the dock was never finaled that she would not move forward with signing off the 515' elevation of our house (building plans) until we rectified the dock situation. She wanted us to pay for a new permit and have an engineer develop plans to move the dock all at our expense due to their mistake 10 years ago. They took no culpability and said that the dock could have been altered during construction (was not) even though it is actually smaller than permitted to be by Tri Dam. The construction of our house has nothing to do with the issue she has with our dock and she is holding it as leverage and not allowing us to move forward with the building permit unless we proceed and conform to what Tri Dam wants. We feel this is very unreasonable and that the construction of our home has nothing to do with Tri Dam. Furthermore, the dock issue is separate and this issue was originally created by Tri Dam because they failed to do their job by verifying that the dimensions of the dock fit Tri Dam's parameters prior to permitting it to be constructed. I feel this is a perfect example of why the county should oversee any and all construction, both land and water!!

TriDam is abusing its powers against us citizens and then retaliating to flex their position. Numerous occasions have cost me and my Neighbors much grief and monetary losses. Susan Larsen is unethical, unprofessional, and is an ego maniac!

Steve Brack (Copperopolis, ca, 2020-09-01)

#158

I'm signing because getting our dock permitted was a horrific experience. It felt like they were purposely trying to make our life miserable just because they could.

I oppose regulation by agencies or entities within whom which I have no representation. A flowage easement is only that - an easement over which water may be flooded by the grantee. Such easement does not confer any right to regulate any other aspect of the flooded or non-flooded portions of the land.
