Stop Sign In Memory of Orzo Wine

On the intersection of Pineapple Ave. and Aurora Rd in Melbourne FL (32935) our family dog was killed by a car only days after moving in. We did not realize the amount of traffic, nor the excessive speed with which people drive down Pineapple Ave. and turn onto Aurora Rd. The speed and lack of awareness many of the individuals driving this route operate with is at an unacceptable level. I have a 9 year old daughter and though she is smart and I trust her to stay away from the road, I cannot trust in humanities abilities to care enough to slow down to an acceptable level. This issue in confounded with a very popular alcohol consumption location (Squid Lips) only blocks up the street.

Please sign the petition to have stop signs erected on Pineapple Ave where Aurora intersect. This would likely cut down on the traffic in which people use Pineapple to avoid the many stop lights on US-1, would help cut down on the excessive speed in which individuals drive on Pineapple Ave. and cut around the blind corner to merge onto Aurora Rd., it would likely help to prevent tragedies, such as the one with our family pet of 10+ years named Orzo Wine, and help potentially save human lives, both adult and children.
