Tax relief for seniors Jasper and Newton Counties, Missouri
Missouri passed SB 190 which allows counties to remove property tax for the primary resident who is getting Social Security and owns or has equity in the residence they live in.
If the County Commissioners fail to pass legislation to allow it. The law allows citizens that are registered to vote, to sign a petition to overwrite the County Commisioners. It takes 5% of the registered voters to make the senior property tax exemption enacted in that county.
Sign this petition to make it clear to the County Commisioners that we want tax relief.
