Athletics Track Resurfacing at Bury

Project is Underway

We are delighted to announce that having secured the grant funding and working with our colleagues at Bury Council on the tendering process, the project to resurface the track is now underway.

The contractors started work at the end of July and the old track surface has already been removed. Work is now underway on setting the foundations for the new jump runways.

Work is goiing to plan so far and the latest date we expect to be able to access the track again will be the 1st November.

Thank you to everyone who provided a signature to support this petition to help secure the funding. This is superb news for athletics and sport in Bury.

Thank you to everyone who signed this petition to support the resurfacing of the track and field facilities at Bury's Market Street track. We have had confirmation that the grant providers have agreed to support the project and we are now awaiting final confirmation from our project manager. Bury AC extends a huge thank you to our partners at Bury Council who have submitted the bids and who have worked really hard behind the scenes to help make this project happen.
