BAN ALL FIREWORKS IN LYDENBURG
Residents in town are fed-up with the misuse of fireworks over the festive season to such an extent that Home4Paws has started a petition to stop the setting off of pyrotechnics in any residential area in Lydenburg and Mashishing. Residents uttered their disgust towards the undesirable effects including disruption of community peace and quiet, terrifying of domestic animals (contrary to the Animals Protection Act), and pollution of the environment and waste of money.
Home4Paws has thus decided to create a petition for the banning of all fireworks in Lydenburg and its residential areas. The petition will, once completed, be handed over to Thaba Chweu Municipality to establish a by-law banning any pyrotechnics being set off in any residential area in Lydenburg and Mashishing.
Residents are urged to sign the petition in order to get as many signatures possible to ban fireworks once and for all in Lydenburg town.
