Business Community Support for IFC's FoodFirst Community Kitchen
We, the undersigned, are business owners within the Town of Carrboro. Please accept our signature as a signal of support for the IFC’s FoodFirst project to develop a community kitchen at 110 W Main Street.
We understand that FoodFirst’s community Kitchen will be feeding many of the hungry in our community. We understand that there are many faces of hunger, and that many of the people who will utilize the community kitchen are the working poor, the disabled and those on fixed incomes.
We support the IFC’s long deliberated decision to develop FoodFirst’s community kitchen at its current location of 110 W Main ST. We desire to see the IFC continue to meet the needs of a portion of our population who live in poverty with a centrally located community kitchen. This way, residents needing the support can utilize public transportation to access its services. With this central location, residents will also be able to access the PTA, El Centro, TABLE, and Club Nova. We look forward to a new building that adds to the positive ambiance of Carrboro’s downtown, and look forward to how this new building and facility can benefit all of our community.
