I mean if you were going to merge the schools you could have at lease did it equally so there still wouls be some type of remembrance of each school. Instead their basically erasing Timken out the picture. That's not fair nor right at all.

It could be a good idea but the execution is wrong. They are making timken go away all together.and that is not fair. Also why put sophomores junior and seniors at mckinley when timkens already equipped for the bocational classes. It is a waste of money.

It's stupid to merge the schools...

1: Classes will be huge, which will affect the learning environment

2: Hallways will be crowded, which will lead to fights

3: There will be gang activity, which will lead to fatalities, and possibly the destruction of the McKinley Building. If you think there are a lot of bomb threats NOW, just wait and see what happens IF the school board goes through with this.

I went to Belden Elementary school, we were the Bears-Red,White and Gray

I also went to Crenshaw Middle school, we were the Cougars -Blue and Orange

i would like the mascots to stay that way, as well as the colors

I dont think they should put the schools together because their are kids at each school that dont like each other and your going to have a fight every other day and besides that we are going to loose a lot of our students to different schools if they merge together and its not fair for the students nor the faculty that is put in this position. What happens when a student gets kicked out of that school since there is no alternative school to go to.

How many board members that made this decision are graduates of McK?? Now at McK instead of 35 players standing on the sidelines you will have 65 or maybe you will have the same 35 because these kids chose to run the streets instead of trying out. Timken may not do very well in sports but those kids still have a chance to hone their skills and they are learning life lesson at the same time and not on the streets. If they are worried about the lights play all Saturday afternoon games. Those kids go to Timken and play sports even though they may not always have a winning record but to me they are winners because of their dedication. Academics may not differ from one school to the next but that was their original choice I don't believe they were forced to go to Timken so leave well enough alone.

I was a graduate from Timken in 1999. I know a lot of family & friends who have went to Timken including me who does not want this merge to happen. It was a very nice school with wonderful teachers. We deserve a school that's been here & has helped many kids in their life to achieve their goal!

The numbers don't add up.....McKinley High School has shown a 29% DECREASE in enrollment while Timken Senior High has shown a 4.9% INCREASE. In addition, Mckinley's male population is 612 which is dangerously close to cutoff of 608 making them a division 1 school.....Makes you wonder doesn't it?

It will be ashame to eliminate vocational learning. No where in the proposal does it state that there will still be vocational learning. That's ashame due to the job rate. Superintendent, you need to get real!

I Jayda James, a Junior at Timken Senior High School, refuse to become a Mckinley Bulldog after I've put so much time and dedication to become what I've become at Timken. I'm 12th in my class, working on top 10, and Timken's Junior representative. I'm varsity in volleyball, basketball, and softball, and I along with my other teammates wait for our senior nights which would be next year for me. We want to graduate Timken Trojans. We want to graduate with our Timken friends, No our Timken FAMILY, because that's what we are at Timken. I love My Blue and Gold.

My husband is a Timken coach and feels that students will have more of a chance to prove themselves athletically if they remain how they are. The children are NOT the priority in this decision.

First and foremost being that I am a 1988 graduate of Timken Sr. High I am deeply sadden to hear of the recent proposal to cease the name and school of Timken Sr. High! Not only did I walk the halls every day as a student but, ran the halls for basketball ball practice where I had a chance athletically, not having to compete with 300 other students to make the team. Now 27 years later and still walking the halls now as an alumni, parent, and football coach.
**I will always bleed the colors of Timken Sr High !!! A Timken Trojan for ever for ever a Timken Trojan!*

The only reason they are merging schools is to gain power, and compete with Massillon. It's not because of money, and if it was they would cut high school bussing, and other programs first before changing an entire city. This isn't fair nor right.

This isn't a merge of the two schools. A merge is combining two or more things together. Your completely eliminating one. That's not fair to the students at all. Combining them you'll have less one on one time so grades will fall. Where are you going to fit all these kids? This "merge" isn't fair to the kids at timken who put in years of hard work there to say they graduated from McKinley. That's not right. What makes McKinley better then timken? I'm glad I'm done with school so I wouldn't have to deal with that stressful environment. What if someone did that to you?

I don't go to timken or McKinley, but you shouldn't combine timken & McKinley together because  a lot of people at my school are going to become a freshman & we all complaining that they all  don't want timken to become a  freshman academy . I think is a bad idea , &  we have the freedom to pick what high school we want to go & there's a lot of people who want to go to timken & others want to go to McKinley . I want to go to McKinley but , I don't want it to change,  timken is all about technology & McKinley is all about sports , I want it to stay the way it is , save our school & is very important

I am a 1960 graduate of Timken Vocational High School back in the day when you had to pass a test to qualifiy to be considered for enrollment. For years Mr. Harold fought to retain the Vocational name with Timken after his passing it's like they kept throwing dirt on his grave when they lowered the standard to attend Timken once the Vocational came off the building moved some of the Classes to McKinley now a board full of McKinley graduates have deceided Mckinley should stand along in the city of Canton because their trophy case has more dust collectors than Timkens. Mr. Allison's actions reminds me of a resident Dr. trying to preform his first surgery now he's want to use band-aids to fix the insisions he opened. If brains were gauze Allison wouldn't have enough to make a kotex for a fly, and the board doesn't have enough commom sense think for theirself which reminds of those dolls that sit in the back window of a car that are always bobbing their head YES
