I am on a fixed income and even though I am on the easy payment plan. I have to budget every year when they review the account. I do the best that I can during the winter months.

Monopolies are wrong and politicians who agreed to this mechanism should be investigated and censured in some way...why should customers have to pay for cost overruns?..Shareholders are getting a free ride as well as a dividend no doubt.

If we don't have a choice in who we use for electric, then we should have a say in a rate increase. And I say no more. Our bills have been outrageous the past few months and we are struggling to make ends meet like so many others.

Because we have cut down on all our use of electricity and it is still going up. Almost 400.00 this month. We had 5 living here a year ago and it was half of this.

Its crazy how laws are "made" for SCE&G! Ehy are consumers footing the bill for THEIR project? If we are paying then the consumers should OWN the building and receive ALL profits! Ee as consumers should have a choice in our utility company and state government should not be part of this!

My light bill is twice as much as several other families that have twice the square footage than mine and twice as many family members as mine! Also just an FYI... We also have a propane on demand hot water heater just like those I referred to above!

We should demand a rate DECREASE. My bill is almost $600 a month on the budget plan and we've done the energy saving tips and improvements. Absolute bull they get away with this.

Because we are sick of the insane rate we're being charged now and they want another increase? Our bill is more than both of our car payments put together. We've done the energy saving tips and improvements but the bill keeps going up. It should not be a law that they get to decide on an increase it should be against the law for them to do whatever they please. People cannot afford their ridiculous rates!

Because so many people are on a limited income and instead of finding other solutions. They would rather keep on raising our electric bills.your talking about many folks can bearly pay for basic everyday living.Food prices are crazy much less a increase for electricity.I know I'm one of them people to limited income and have taken my daughters daughter in since her Mom was killed last year in October.

It's pretty tough trying to make it on a fixed income as it is, but apparently this doesn't matter to a big company like SCE & G. Guess my grocery cart will be a bit lighter & meds will have be cut back. Just how do we win against this Giant????

These electric bills are absolutely insane. Makes you suspect foul play. We live modestly and we just can't afford these charges that DONT change no matter what we do to cut back.
