Because for months now we have been subjected to this horrible smell as well as something 'bad' in the air - our horses have been coughing, dogs having respiratory problems - and of course we ourselves - burning eyes, tight chests, coughing, waking up feeling lethergic with headaches often! Walk outside in the morning and the smell is the first thing to hit you! This dump must be closed down as soon as possible.

I awake every morning to the unrelenting stench from the FG landfill. I suffer from heightened levels of lead in my blood, continual post nasal drip, headaches, drowsiness, forgetfulness and loss of balance. Tax and ratepayers should have the right to live in a safe,clean environment. This pollution is DEADLY and must be stopped. The FG ladnfill managers are unscrupulous as we all know "there's money in muck" and the deadlier the muck, the more m oney they rake in at our expense.

We have chosen a life on an agricultural holding to give our kids the benefit of growing up in tune with nature but there is absolutely nothing natural about this!!! Something needs to be done soonest. And our petition will probibly not reach even those people bordering us that cannot afford as much medical attention and cannot understand why they just don't get better.

The people being affected adversely by the increasing polution in the area are my friends and neighbours who live not more than a couple of blocks away from me. The polution is spreading so it is only a matter of time before it gets to me.

I signed this petition because I work in Midrand and I can smell the gasses in the morning or late at night when I leave work. This for me simply means the health and safety act is being bridget by the company that is burning these gases into the air, which means it is affecting our lungs and will have consequences in a long run.

There is a strong smell, sulphuric acid .i.e rotten egg like smell that is prevalent in the area. The area is tranquil and beautiful but the only bad part is the smell and the health issues associated with it.
