As descendents of our tupuna to safeguard for our future generations I will envoke Mana Ariki to ensure our voice is included!  It is my opinion that our mokopuna deserve better than what TAG, other Frackers and their supporting industries have to offer.  The infrastructure development required to unfurl the destructive fracking industry stretches its mechanical tenticles into other regions covered up in a regulatory wrangle and who is who in the myriad of corporate corruption.  The sanctions given by the Councils and NZ Government to wreck and pilage Taranaki and Aotearoa will resound throughout the world and we will make sure of it!  The increasing number of receiving environments contaminated and impacted on detrimentally will be publicised!  We will not tolerate dirty land deals!  We will not tolerate those who lease their land for these activities!  We will not tolerate fracking maunga Taranaki!  Kia kaha whanau!  Ae!

Mt Taranaki is an iconic New Zealand Mountain, recognised throughout the world. Do we want Fracking wells and subsequent environmental (and tourism) damage in our heritage sites. A resounding NO on behalf of me and my whanau.

Totally against it, keep the clean and green image that we market ourselves to the world on, value the meaning Mount Taranaki has for the people. Listen to the people of New Zealand "don't do it"

Not only is 'Fracking' a world wide hazard it is also illegal any many countries. In it's method to extract oil/gas by way of its low frequency explosives in the pipelines or testing is enough to cause the tectonic plates of this countries fault lines to rupture. I guess the drilling south of Ch Ch. and off the coast of Wellington as well as that of Taranaki recently has not persuaded Government to act in support of our cause.

Hard-core facts about 'Fracking': Those who say otherwise will remain in denial.
Low frequency testing & explosives & are us to assist in the extraction of gas & oil through the pipelines which not only contaminates the acquifiers but can also be used to trigger the tectonic plates of this countries fault lines to rupture which is known to cause major earthquakes. And yes 'Fracking is illegal in many countries so more needs to be done to educate this nation of what lies ahead of our Maunga Taranaki.
Let the mining south of Christchurch, off the coast of Welllington & the recent quake in Taranaki remind you all that we are in the ring of fire.

I'm a mother of six children all of them born in NZ two are still living there with children of their own, I would like to think there will be a future for them but the way things are going these greedy idiots are going to cause NZ to be totally ruined , NZ is a beautiful country lets keep it that way.

Fantastic to see 'local' petitions for what is quietly being done to 'our' land. Thank you

Fracking is a short term solution which causes permanent damages. Do not forget: there is always the sun to give us energy!

This should not happen. Our maunga has meaning to this area we call home. This will have major consequences for the people in the region not to mention the land and sea and animals. The cons far out way the pros of this project and anyone who cares about a future for our children on this earth will see that too.
