#1012014-03-07 08:10We have been going to le kiosk ever since we discovered it while on holiday in 2001, now that we live in sydney we love to go for special occasions or just for light bites if we're in the area. If we have visitors from overseas it's the one place we always book. Le Kiosk is a hidden gem but once you know it's there you will always go back. It needs to stay and continue to attract tourists and locals alike to Shelley Beach. Good view, good food, good service and good atmosphere... Ticks all boxes. |

#1052014-03-07 11:26A great place to take the family. A well kept restaurant that fits in nicely in Shelly. Putting it out to tender seems very unfair on the owners, especially as they've ploughed so much money in. Save Le Kiosk! |

#1062014-03-07 12:59As a young university student my part time job was limousine driving. I brought many international guests to Le Kiosk and it's reputation was renowned. I would hate to see another Sydney icon disappear. |

#1072014-03-07 20:10I don't believe the business should be evicted prior to the tender decision. Seems a very odd act by manly council. |

#108 Le Kiosk, Shelly Beach2014-03-07 23:14I always think it's reprehensible when bodies such as Councils, Maritimes Services Board etc decide to tender out long term leases without any regard to the livelihood of the current lessee who has usually (as in your case) spent years and money building up the business. I do hope your petition is successful! |

#1092014-03-07 23:21Why does Council what to ruin a good thing? Le Kiosk has been looking after customers for as along as I can remember. This is obviously just another cash grab by Council. Keep Le Kiosk. |

#1112014-03-08 02:40Keep a Manly institution they have last longer than the Councillors and no councillor who does this will last in office |

#1132014-03-08 03:52Please keep this iconic venue. It's so special to so many holding memories or weddings christenings and birthdays. It would be wrong to have it any other way. |

#1152014-03-08 05:34Le kiosk is an icon of Shelly beach .... Whilst I endorse "moving forward i" in manly and different areas of the peninsular I believe this will be a HUGE mistake , I'm a bussiness person who bring people to Sydney and the first place of introduction is always le kiosk .
Don't take away a Piece of so many peoples history ! Why should we always have to conform to what we disagree to ? It's our right to be heard and have what we all want ! not always the council last word ! It's OUR right to be heard and have the LAST WORD on what WE ALL WANT !!!!!

#1182014-03-08 07:43My brother's wedding was cancelled last year due to the fires in the blue mountains. Le Kiosk accommodated us without fuss with three days notice. They are an institution in manly and part of the local furniture. It would be heart breaking to see them go! |

#1202014-03-08 08:46I am a local resident and business owner. I can't believe that Manly Council will do this - Le Kiosk is a beautiful restaurant, excellent food and amazing location. It is a wonderful tourist attraction - people travel for miles to experience this restaurant. While they are in Manly, they are likely to spend money elsewhere as well, which is good for local business. |

#1242014-03-08 21:27What is Manly Council up to? You provide a wonderful dining experience. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ! Sick of Manly Council wasting taxpayers money on witch hunts. |
