Because animals suffer

Domestic and wild animals and birds have no way of protecting themselves from this awful assault on their extra sensitive hearing, so it's up to us to try and help them.
The government has at least passed laws restricting the times of using fireworks in our Country, but since we live in a semi lawless Country, it is near impossible to implement it.
One should never become complacent though, and if you care enough do something about it, every voice helps.
I continually pray for our animals and government.

It is a disgrace of how many animals run away abd get hurt. I could not leave my house the fired crackers in the complex I stay. Big rockets. It must stop.

This petition should not be necessary - fireworks should be banned worldwide.

Dog had a heart attack. Big Bangs were thrown at cars. People were crowding in street shooting crackers off.

I think they should be banned I am sick of my poor dog getting in a state over them

I have animals and I see the trauma they go through from Guyfox through to New year, normal new norms are also effected by the loud banging noices

Far too many animals suffer because human idiots can't find quality entertainment that's safe for all beings.

So tired of having to protect my frightened animals when there are fireworks while the idiots do as they please with no consideration for others! They also deserve to live without fear!

Enough is enough

I agree and think that there should only be public firework displays. With all the health and safety regulations around covering everything else we do I can't understand why we allow any Tom, dick and harry to buy and possess and use explosives!! It's clear by the number of fireworks that go off during the midnight to 6am period and other firework misuses of the number of irresponsible idiots who have gained access to them. Plus in this day and age of terrorism it is not a good idea to have fireworks so easily accessible. Loud bangs also not only effect animals, young children and the elderly and those with mental health issues but also those who have served or lived in war torn places and can easily cause them serious post traumatic memories!

It speaks directly to a cause nearest to my heart, the safety and wellbeing of our precious animals.

I am one of many people who is fedup with the disturbance and misery (caused to animals and vulnerable people) that fireworks generate. Very few people use them responsibily. There are now louder fireworks than ever before, mainly because people can buy them online. Unless the government can regulate these things properly then they should not be sold at all. We have fireworks going off all year round, from birthday parties, barbeques, festivals, bonfire night, Christmas, New Year and any other event. They are a nuisance and a danger and serve no purpose other than being another product sold for profit.

Because it sounded like world war 3 was breaking out on New Year's Eve here. I cannot see what the point is of those fireworks that make that exceptionally loud bangs.

Animals are badly affected by fireworks.

Thousands of animals suffer terrible deaths or injuries every year and day because of the inconsiderate bastards who set off fireworks! They must be banned internationally!
