Fireworks are cruelty to animals and cruelty to animals is illegal so therefore fireworks should be illegal

Although I do not have pets. The noise level of fireworks affects me as an elderly disabled Individual. The bomb type fireworks is extremely loud sounding like gun shots which creates upheaval to many. One wakes up in shock when this sound is made? Most importantly one cannot out rule the real criminal event vs fireworks? Please ban the use thereof in all residential areas.....!

I have 5 dogs and ten cats, every year I sit with frightened animals due to idiots that need bling to celebrate something that should be entered with silence.... I am animal empath... and feel their emotions....

Ban Fireworks

We ended up giving our dog 3 Alprazolam and a Calming agent to eventually settle him. The neighbors dogs ended up fighting out of fear - you could hear the dogs all around simply terrified

Last year a little girls fingers were blown off. This year some idiot threw a big bang into a car with two small children. The mother now has a hearing problem. I lost a dear pet due to inconsiderate neighbours. Two houses burnt down due to fire crackers. What goes up must come down. Sometimes on someones house. Little children go hungry and some idiots have thousands to spend on traumatizing animals, children and innocent people. How wrong is this world.

 Agreed. I think the owners are more terrified than their pets. Imagine if police dogs were afraid of gunshots or guide dogs were afraid of traffic. The reason your pets are afraid is because of bad training and you should feel bad and responsible for encouraging them to feel panicked and nervous. All fear is learned.

 Perhaps you should emigrate to a country where the government cares about whining old white people. Unfortunately they don't in South Africa, and they don't care about your pets either. Fireworks are beautiful, you're just to scared to enjoy them. Live a little.

My dog thinks the world is ending and pants and paces and whines. I can never go out on New years because of it. I worry what he will do to himself if I'm not home to comfort him.

There are way to many animals and elderly people feeling the bad effects of these fireworks...not to talk about little kids getting hurt by them as well

I hate the noise of fireworks and those bombs people make really scares the living hell out of me........SO JUST imagine how our animal feels.....terrifying!!!

Traumatising to both pets and people that suffer from noise sensitivity. No more lives should be lost due to a minority terrorising us in our own homes!!! My home should be a place of safety and peace, not a war zone!

I have four dogs who are traumatized by fireworks. I spend the first hours of 2016 trying to soothe my poor dogs who had become hysterical with fear.
This happens every year.
BAN FIREWORKS!
