The current flag tells our story Southern Cross represents all navigators,our tangata whenua and subsequent arrivals ,the blue our island status in a sea of blue, the union jack not only depicts the UK countries but represents our bicultural nation working together as one.and the pattern of the union jack is like a tuku tuku Maori weaving.
Besides the cost could provide for needy families.
